Horseshoe Fire Burns Through the Night in California

Firefighters with aerial support worked to contain the Horseshoe wildfire that grew to about 200 acres in the hills above San Jacinto, California, on the night of September 14.

The blaze was 10 percent contained by 11.30 pm, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.

Areas east of Cottonwood Avenue and south of Mulberry Street were under mandatory evacuation orders, authorities said.
