One of Australia’s most respected experts on aerial firefighting will deliver an address on the lessons learnt from the recent bushfire crisis at the Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA) conference in Brisbane.
The conference is scheduled for June as part of the Rotortech 2020 Helicopter and Unmanned Flight Exposition.
Richard Alder, General Manager of the National Aerial Firefighting Centre, will address the conference on recently implemented firefighting initiatives and their outcomes as part of Rotortech.
AHIA CEO Paul Tyrrell said Rotortech 2020 follows one of the most devastating bushfire seasons in Australian history, increasing the importance of bringing the helicopter industry together to review and discuss the role helicopters play in bushfire management.
