Coulson’s Second C-130 Leaves Arizona for Florida

The second of two C-130's named 'TY' purchased from the Norwegian Air Force left its storage location in the Arizona desert at Davis Montham Air Force Base on Monday, April 13th, 2020 headed to its final fit-out and overhaul location in Crestview, Florida, after completing a nearly 4-hour ferry flight.

Ty will be known as Tanker 132, joining its sister ship 'Brage' that still remains at Davis Montham Air Force Base awaiting its ferry permit after some more work is performed to bring it up to airworthy status to ferry to Florida.

Coulson has been carrying out extensive work on both aircraft ahead of their ferry flights that we detailed in this post several weeks ago. Coulson Aviation had initially hoped to have both aircraft in Florida already but has been limited by the onset of the COVID-19 crisis complicating their initial timelines.

Coulson Aviation's N132CG 'Ty' will be entering service later in the year as Tanker 132 after further maintenance is completed in Florida along with its sister ship 'Brage'. Coulson Aviation photo.
