REDDING, Calif. — CAL FIRE and Forest Service aerial training are going on this week in the Redding area, both in the classroom and in the air.
These men and women are working very hard and learning so many different tasks and training in different roles to make sure they are fully prepared for fire season.
Officials said they have 18 trainees this year for the two-week evaluation process. They are covering everything from air traffic control, communications, equipment, to aerial firefighting tactics and more.
