JUAB COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) – The Goat Springs Fire in Juab County is now 95% contained, fire officials say. The fire, believed to be human-caused, has burned over 440 acres in Juab County since it began burning Friday. It started on the Simpson Mountain Range and spread quickly amid gusty winds and steep, rugged terrain.
Utah Fire Info reports mop up and rehab work witll continue through the week as local units resume command. Smoke may still be visible within the surrounding area.
On Memorial Day, crews in Wasatch County battled a fire that started after a control burn got out of hand and spread quickly across about 21 acres.
