The Infoca has considered extinguished 24 hours later the forest fire declared at noon this Tuesday in the municipality of Ojén, specifically in the area known as ‘Cordobachina’. After being controlled this morning, at noon the Infoca announced that it was finally extinguished. Extinction efforts have been hampered by the influence of the wind in the area, as northwesterly winds of ten or fifteen kilometers per hour were recorded, with gusts reaching up to 30.
Yesterday, 42 forest firefighters, two operations technicians, an Environment agent, two fire engines and two transport and extinction helicopters (KA-40 and MA-40) traveled to the scene of the events, since the circumstances required the expansion of the device initially deployed to the area.
