Worldwide, the AirTractor (AT), model 802, are considered the best aircraft for fighting forest fires. And one of the fundamental reasons is that they were specially built to combat these disasters in different situations, such as the topography of the place and weather conditions.
This was highlighted by the executive director of the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF), Rodrigo Munita, indicating that for this reason they were the first to travel to collaborate in the control of the forest fire called Forestal Russffin, in the commune of Timaukel, Magallanes Region, adding that the Hercules C-130 plane and the Superpuma helicopter have also been integrated into this work.
