Evacuations lifted for Old Fire in Napa County as containment grows to 15%

Evacuations have been lifted for a wildfire that sparked Tuesday in California’s wine country and grew to more than 500 acres. The Old Fire, which started just after 3:30 p.m., was burning 5 miles north of Napa, 25 miles east of Santa Rosa and 44 miles west of Sacramento. Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit in a 6:30 a.m. update Wednesday said crews made “significant progress” overnight, upping containment from 5% to 15% with the fire holding at 570 acres.
