Bridger Scooper Fleet Heads to Alaska to Fight Record Fires

Juneau, Alaska – Bridger Aerospace is relocating the company’s scooper fleet to Juneau, with its final destination being Fairbanks Alaska once weather allows, to assist in firefighting efforts during this year’s record fire season in Alaska.

Scooper 284 arrived last week to Ladd Army Airfield and is already deployed on fires in Alaska, while scoopers 281,282,283 all departed from their temporary staging location in Chico, California Sunday, heading north before arriving in Juneau later in the day Pacific time.

Although it is unknown which fires the Bridger CL-415EAF fleet will fight, staging the aircraft in Southern Alaska will allow for quick deployment anywhere in the state that is currently fighting 48 active fires, the largest being the Clear fire and the Lime Complex Fire.
