Scooper 288, dubbed “Matthew,” is the latest addition to Belgrade, Montana-based operator Bridger Aerospace’s fleet, marking the sixth super scooper to join Bridger’s growing fleet of aerial firefighting assets.
The aircraft was unveiled at a ceremony on Wednesday attended by Bridger staff and local media that also included mechanic Tom Willis receiving the Charles Taylor Mechanic Award from the FAA.
The $30 million dollar aircraft will see its first firefighting work this coming season as the Bridger fleet heads out to various contracts around the United States.
