McDermott Aviation Delivers Final 214ST to Greece for Fire Season

The final of eight Bell 214ST aircraft from the McDermott Aviation fleet has arrived in Greece to begin its service for the Greek fire season.

The last of a total of eight Bell 214ST aircraft from Australian operator McDermott Aviation left the company’s maintenance facility in Alabama bound for Greece on June 29th, arriving in Greece ready for duty on the 2nd of July. The aircraft was then dispatched to its permanent location on July 3rd, where it will work throughout the season that runs July through October in Greece said McDermott founder John McDermott.

McDermott Aviation has been performing maintenance on their fleet of Bell 214ST aircraft at their recently opened Alabama facility that will service aircraft that operate on fire contracts around the world for the company’s fleet of Bell 214 and 214ST aircraft.
