Tunnel 5 Fire Continues Growth as More Aircraft Called

The Tunnel5 Fire along the banks of the Columbia River continues to burn as aircraft have continued to fight the fire.

As of yesterday the fire was at 546 acres in the difficult and steep terrain on the northern bank of the river, making it hard for ground crews to access.

Currently 372 total personnel are fighting the fire, including 36 fire engines, 8 hand crews, 3 helicopters, 4 single-engine air tankers and an Erickson Aero Tanker MD-87 LAT.
