ASU Hires U.S. Air Force Veteran Chris Collins

Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc. (ASU), announced July 10th, 2023, the addition of Chris Collins to their team as the Territory Manager for the Eastern United States. Collins brings with him more than 20 years of aviation experience.

“Today, society demands smarter technology and a safer environment without compromising quality or efficiency,” said ASU President Joe Estrera.  “ASU is accepting that challenge with our continued Innovation for a Safer Tomorrow by investing in new technological developments and experienced team members. Collins’ vast background in avionics installations and modifications and his experience with STC development will help us further our goals.

Before joining ASU, Collins held previous roles at Summit Aviation for 10 years as a program manager, business development management specialist, and aircraft maintenance coordinator. He brings with him experience in both fixed-wing and helicopter operations. One of Collins’s primary roles was to work closely with federal, state and local agencies to help procure contracts.

Collins holds an FAA Airframe License and received his Bachelor of Science from Wilmington University in Business Management/Professional Development.

“Chris’s experience will help ASU better serve our customers in the Eastern United States. His experience working with government agencies to obtain essential equipment, training, and service will be key to helping our clients. Whether they need equipment, training, or modifications, Collins’s breadth of knowledge will help them navigate the process. He will be a great addition to our team,” said Estrera.”

Collins will also be at the APSA annual APSCON convention in Orlando July 17-19 at ASU’s booth 400 and looks forward to speaking with customers.
