UAFA Visits the Hill
The United Aerial Firefighters Association announced this week the intention for the association to host a second Hill Day event for UAFA members to meet with congressional representatives from their districts and congressional delegations with key responsibilities covering the aerial firefighting industry.
The second Hill Day follows a very successful first event held by UAFA in September of 2023 where over a dozen representatives from member companies visited with multiple congressional representatives about important issues.
UAFA, in a letter to members stated that the two day event will be held on February 7th, 2024
Our first order of business is to get our policy wishes in front of Congress. On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, we are hosting our second Fly-in/Hill Day for members to meet with Congressional members and staffers.
Any UAFA members are encouraged to attend and can register using this form. The event will be limited to 15 members and no more than two from an organization may attend. UAFA stated that interested parties should register no later than January 26th, 2024.
