The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Fire Services has confirmed that fires in Breede Valley and Witzenberg continue to burn out of control.

Structure protection and fire suppression are the top priorities for efforts in Bainskloof and Slanghoek. Bainskloof Pass and Slanghoek Road are still open, but they may close unexpectedly.
In Elandsberg, favorable winds have aided firefighting, with aerial support playing a key role in protecting structures.
