Kodey Bogart Releases Children’s Book on Aerial Firefighting

Kodey Bogart is many things, a safety expert, military veteran, flight instructor, and an experienced aerial firefighting pilot. Recently, Kodey added another title to her many listed achievements: children’s book author. Kodey recently released the book Helo Girls: The Firefighting Pilot, where child readers are encouraged to help Abigail (Abby) the aerial firefighting pilot and her crew put out fires.

This educational and interactive story follows Abby, the pilot, as she demonstrates the working parts of her operation. From the helicopter and bucket, ride along as Abby takes you from a pre-flight safety check on the helicopter to locating the flames, reconnaissance of the fire traffic area, and filling her water bucket to extinguish the fire. The book takes a child’s eye view of many of the daily issues of aerial firefighting in a fun and informative way.

Helo Girls: The Firefighting Pilot is more than just a book. It’s a tool that can ignite a passion in your child. A must-have for any aerial firefighting pilot’s children, this book not only helps them understand the business but also serves as a stepping stone toward a potential future career in firefighting.
