Peru: Government Continues Fight to Extinguish Forest Fires

The Presidency of the Republic on Tuesday stressed that the Government continues the fight to extinguish forest fires, both by air and land.

In this regard, it specified that the Executive Branch uses different systems to control these incidentscombat their impact, and ensure the safety of everyone.
“From the air, the Bambi Bucket and Guardian systems are key to fighting fires,” reads a statement issued by the Presidential Office on the X platform.
It also stated that Peruvian Army personnel, through the Rapid Intervention Companies for disasters, as well as firefighters and others, are in charge of combating fires on the ground, confronting them “face to face.”
