GPMS and Precision Deliver AS332 Foresight MX HUMS to Nomad Aviation

30 October 2024 – GPMS International, in partnership with Precision Support Services, has announced the delivery of Foresight MX HUMS to Nomad Aviation for their two AS332 Super Pumas.

For nearly 20 years, Nomad Aviation has provided heavy-lift helicopter capabilities throughout Southeast Asia, with operations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Experts in firefighting, construction projects, and other utility missions, Nomad maximizes the superior lifting power and flexibility of their AS332s.

“Our Super Pumas are extremely capable machines, but they operate in extremely challenging conditions”, mentions Nomad Aviation co-founder John Forsyth. “The intense humidity, coastal conditions, and remote areas we operate in take a toll on the aircraft and our engineers. Like other AS332 operators, we removed the original HUMS on our aircraft many years ago due to weight, cost, and obsolescence issues. When we heard that GPMS was working with Precision to install HUMS on all their AS332s, we were immediately interested in learning more.”

“We went out to witness first-hand GPMS’s development of the STC and just how powerful and easy Foresight MX is to use,” said Nomad co-founder Garry Mahoney. “Precision’s an expert on the AS332 platform and worked closely with GPMS to simplify the system to reduce weight, cost, and installation time as much as possible. It was very impressive to see the collaboration and the results they produced.”

“We’re very proud to have supported the US Forest Service with our HUMS-equipped AS332s this summer” said David Rath, Group CEO of the Precision family of companies. “The STC process is always challenging, but the capabilities that Foresight provides have been appreciated by the entire team. We look forward to working with GPMS to expand Foresight’s capabilities, supporting Nomad’s installations, and assisting other AS332 installations around the world.”

“AS332s are in high demand, and operators have been looking for a replacement HUMS solution for over a decade,” said Ronnie Ries, Vice President of Marketing at GPMS. “With Foresight MX, customers can enhance the safety of their operations while gaining the predictive insights they need to reduce AOGs and the impacts of supply chain challenges. We’re thrilled to be able to deliver these benefits to Nomad Aviation.”
