  • The AW139 simulator, set to be installed in 2026, features a state-of-the-art 200ºx70º spherical visual system and a motion platform with six degrees of freedom.
  • The simulator will support advanced mission training for various operations, including firefighting, Search and Rescue (SAR), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and offshore missions, providing a versatile training solution.

Madrid, November 4th, 2024

Entrol, the manufacturer of EASA and FAA certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators, has announced the sale of its first Full Flight Simulator (FFS) Level B to the Italian-based operator Air Corporate. The simulator, based on the AW139 model, will be installed in 2026 and is designed to deliver a comprehensive training solution that covers all mission profiles, from firefighting to offshore transport. This new achievement strengthens Entrol’s position as a key provider of cutting-edge simulation technology in the aviation industry.

A comprehensive solution for advanced helicopter training

The FFS Level B simulator replicates the configuration of the AW139 used by Air Corporate, integrating a six-degree-of-freedom motion platform and a 200ºx70º spherical visual system with seven channels for an unparalleled training experience. The simulator is equipped with a customized ENVISION database, which includes mission-specific environments for firefighting, Search and Rescue (SAR), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and offshore operations, providing pilots with an immersive and realistic training environment.

“Our Full Flight Simulator (FFS) Level B sets a new benchmark in helicopter training. The precision and realism of this device ensure that Air Corporate’s pilots are equipped to operate in the most demanding environments,” said Luis Olarte, CEO and Founder of Entrol. “This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering the highest quality training devices, enabling our clients to elevate their training programs and ensure operational excellence.”

Strengthening a long-standing relationship

Air Corporate has been a long-term partner of Entrol, operating two FTD Level 3 simulators — the H125 and H145 — prior to acquiring the new FFS Level B based on the AW139. The new simulator will utilize the same mission-specific database as the previous devices, ensuring seamless integration across Air Corporate’s existing training infrastructure.

AW139 Full Flight Simulator and Advanced Training Solutions by Air Corporate

Air Corporate has made significant investments in advanced training technologies to ensure that all pilots trained by the company are among the best trained in the industry. This includes the acquisition of a state-of-the-art AW139 Full Flight Simulator, which allows the company to provide comprehensive, scenario-based training in a controlled and safe environment.

“The AW139 is a complex and versatile aircraft, requiring advanced training solutions to maximize its operational capabilities. With this Full Flight Simulator, we will be able to deliver comprehensive training , ensuring that all trained pilots are well-prepared for any scenario,” said a spokesperson for Air Corporate.

Comprehensive support and after-sales Service

The project includes a four-year warranty and maintenance plan, along with a dedicated debriefing station that allows for detailed session reviews. This ensures that Air Corporate will receive continuous support throughout the simulator’s lifecycle, maximizing the benefits of the investment and enhancing training efficiency.
