Howell Announces Partnership with PJ Helicopters as Launch Customer for CH-47 Avionics Modernization Suite

Fort Worth, TX 3/3/2025—Howell is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with PJ Helicopters as launch customer for the CH-47 Avionics Modernization Suite. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the modernization of the renowned CH-47 Chinook, ensuring it remains at the forefront of helicopter operations for years to come.

The CH-47 Avionics Modernization Suite represents the latest state-of-the-art upgrades developed by Howell Instruments to improve the performance, reliability, and operational efficiency of the iconic CH-47 platform. This suite will include cutting-edge avionics with an all-glass panel aimed at extending the lifecycle and mission capability of the CH-47 fleet worldwide.

The upgraded all-glass system delivers advanced features such as:  

  • Real-time condition parameters
  • Visual and aural warnings to enhance awareness and safety
  • Dual redundant auto-switching input signals

“This partnership signifies a major step in our commitment to advancing aerospace technology and ensuring that the CH-47 continues to be a leader in the helicopter industry. We’re proud to team up with PJ Helicopters with this initiative,” stated Marc Paganini, President and CEO of Howell.
