Firefighting efforts in Collier County have been taken to new heights, quite literally. The Collier County Sheriff's Aviation Bureau recently played a crucial role in extinguishing a fire in Wilshire Lakes, earning a parade in their honor from grateful neighbors.
One of the key tools in their firefighting arsenal is the BAMBI Bucket. An orange bucket, often seen hanging from helicopters, is used for dropping water on fires from above.
