Vallfirest Strengthens Its Growth Plans with the Support of Suma Capital

Vallfirest, a global leader in wildland firefighting and management solutions, has taken a decisive step forward in its growth strategy by partnering with Suma Capital in a new expansion capital transaction. This capital increase will enable Vallfirest to accelerate its international expansion and reinforce its leadership in the wildland firefighting industry, one of the planet’s most pressing challenges.

Vallgorguina, Barcelona. Tuesday, November 26, 2024 - Vallfirest Tecnologías Forestales is proud to announce the addition of Suma Capital, a renowned sustainable investment firm, as a minority shareholder. This partnership is the result of a strategic capital increase aimed at supporting Vallfirest’s ambitious plans for growth, innovation, and operational excellence, while maintaining the company’s strong identity and leadership under its current management team.

Since its founding in 2007, Vallfirest has been a pioneer in the designing and developing advanced tools, equipment, and technology for wildland firefighting and management. With a presence in nearly 100 countries and subsidiaries in Uruguay and the United States, Vallfirest has built a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that empower firefighting professionals worldwide.

The injection of capital from Suma Capital will allow Vallfirest to:
• Expand production capabilities to meet growing global demand.
• Strengthen its footprint in strategic markets, including North and Latin America.
• Pursue complementary acquisitions that enhance its product portfolio and reinforce its market position.

Javier Baena, Founder and CEO of Vallfirest, highlighted the importance of this partnership: "This capital increase marks a pivotal moment for Vallfirest. It enables us to continue leading innovation in wildland firefighting while maintaining our focus on providing high-performance solutions for our customers. Suma Capital shares our vision of sustainable growth and supports our commitment to revolutionize wildfire management by equipping professionals with cutting-edge tools and technology to manage fires safely and efficiently”.

Suma Capital, known for its commitment to sustainability and impact investing, joins Vallfirest in the mission to address one of the most critical consequences of climate change: the increasing frequency and intensity of wildfires. The collaboration is designed to bolster Vallfirest’s capabilities without altering the company’s independent and innovative spirit, ensuring that its solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.

This strategic move will allow Vallfirest to continue serving its key stakeholders—including firefighters, local governments, and distributors—while staying true to its core mission: protecting lives, forests, and the environment through cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.
