The threat of wildfires across Oklahoma is putting fire teams on alert.
The Oklahoma Forestry Service called Bridger Aerospace, an aerial firefighting company, for assistance.
“We go wherever the customer needs us—the government, federal, or state. Typically, they will put us in an airport that’s near the fires,” said Sam Davis, CEO of Bridger Aerospace.
The “Super Scooper” aircraft is ready to take off and assist with fires at any minute.
Officials said this will be the group’s first possible firefighting mission of the season.
“The scoopers will take off and scoop and drop water on them to slow the progression before they get out of control,” said Davis.
