Riverina Highlands Rural Fire Service are looking at relocating their fire control centre to Tumut Airport.
“We are looking at options to locate the fire control centre at the airport,” Riverina highlands RFS District Manager Jon Gregory said.
The RFS has also considered placing the FCC near the former Tumut Railway precinct, but the preferred option is now at the airport.
“We already have a presence at the airport, and this would consolidate it under one roof,” Mr Gregory said.
