Helicopter Requested to Fight 120-acre Fire in Grand County; Smoke Plume Visible for Miles

Firefighters in Grand County worked Sunday to contain a blaze that sparked outside of Kremmling and sent plumes of smoke into the air.

The Black Mountain fire began just before 12:50 p.m. Sunday on Black Mountain off of Grand County Road 2 in the hills northeast of Kremmling, according to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.
