A veteran tactical pilot with more than 30 years of service recently assumed leadership of a Colorado Springs-based aerial firefighting wing, according to a Saturday news release.
Air Force Reserve Col. Elissa Granderson assumed command of the 302nd Airlift Wing in a change-of-command ceremony at Peterson Space Force Base on Saturday, officials said. Granderson previously headed the “Hurricane Hunters” of the 403 Wing at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.
